Either,or Vs Neither, nor

These are co-relative conjunctions, related with each other, and they are use in the same sentence in the form of pair.

Meaning of Either

It is a co-relative conjunction, a word use to join sentences, which means one or other and this or that.

Either as an conjunction

As I described above either is a co-relative conjunction, but in case of using either as a conjunction in the sentence will emphasize on choices or options between two.Let's make it clear with the help of some practical example of either and or

Either and or examples:

1) Either Uncle or Aunt will have the keys after your arrival from school.

In the above examples a child can receive the keys from his uncle or aunt, one of them will have.In the above example there is a stress on choice.

2) You can either stay or come with us.
3) Either Cristina or Bob will help you.
4) You can either play or watch TV.

Note
The verb after co-relative conjunction is singular or plural depends upon the noun, singular with singular and plural with plural. Now let's go through few examples to make the concept clear.

5) Either Mike or boys are going to attend the celebrations.
The verb after boys is plural "are" because of plural noun "boys"
6) Either Estella or John is going to London.
The verb is singular because of singular noun "john"

Either as adjective

When either comes in a sentence as an adjective so it means one or other, and this one or that one.

E.g. You can have either book
The above examples means you can have this one or that one.

E.g. There are flowers on either side of river
It means the flowers on left or right side of river.

Here in these examples "either" performing an action of choosing one.

Either as pronoun

Either as a pronoun in a sentence is use for selecting one between two.
E.g. I have brought two wrist watch, you can take either
E.g. You can take either of the classes

In the above two examples one has been chosen through word "either"

Either as adverb

Either as an adverb in a sentence is use to show agreement at the end of a negative statement, instead of "also" and "too"

E.g. These books are amazing! easy to read and not that much expensive, either.

Here either is performing a role of "too" and "also"  at the of statement which is negative.

Neither meaning

It means negative, not one or other, not this one or that one, and none.

Neither and nor

These are co-relative conjunction and use in the same sentence in pair form for two negative alternative or you can negate two ideas or options through neither. Let's make it simple with the help of few examples below.

Neither, nor examples

1) Neither Tom nor his sister mention anything about their shifting to other house.
2) Neither the cafe nor the restaurant serves the good biryani.
3) Neither Sarah nor her sisters like to wash the dishes.
4) You can neither play nor watch

Note
The verb follows by her sister is singular "like" because of plural noun(3rd example). The verb follows according to the second alternative in the sentence. Now please have a look at to the 4th one;both the ideas negated by neither.

Neither as adjective

Neither in the sentence as an adjective is use to deny two options or ideas such as not this one or not that one.

E.g. You can have neither pen.
This example means that you cannot have this one and cannot have that one.

E.g Neither of my friend was invited to the party.
This example means neither Jamil nor Adil was invited to party.

Neither as pronoun

Neither in the sentence as a pronoun is use to negate ideas.

E.g.  Neither of the classes available this winter because of cold.
Here neither means none of the class available this winter.

E.g. Both the cats were so cute, but neither was expensive.
Neither means in the sentence no one was expensive between both.

Neither as conjunction

Neither is a co-relative conjunction which is use to negate two alternative.

Neither nor in a sentence

E.g. You can have neither pizza nor chicken.
It means you cannot have pizza and chicken.
E.g. You can neither play cricket nor football
A person is giving an order to someone that you are not allowed to play cricket and football.

Me neither or me either

These are the expressions which will use as an agreement with negative statements in casual and formal way.Let them explain through few examples.

E.g. I don't like to wet in raining specially in winter.
Let's suppose the one came across with above statement and his friend was agree with him, and respond "me either"
This expression is usually use in America(native speakers), and this usage-me either-happens in casual conversation.

In case the one come across with "me neither" so this is also right, but formal than above one "me either"

"Neither do I" is the most formal form to respond to someone negative statement.
